Effect of Herbicides on Narrow Leaved Weeds and Yield of Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

چکیده
─This study was conducted to investigate the efficacy of five herbicides on narrow leaved weeds and growth and yield of wheat. An experiment was conducted at Agronomic Research Farm, University of Agriculture Faisalabad. The experiment was laid out in randomized complete block designee (RCBD) with three replications. Treatments studied were clodinafop (Topic-15 WG) at 37 g a.i. ha, clodinafop (Topaz-15 WG) at 45 g a.i. ha, fenoxaprop-p-ethyl (Puma Super-75 EW) at 45 g a.i. ha, fenoxaprop-p-ethyl (Gramicide-6.9 EW) at 85 g a.i. ha, fenoxaprop-p-ethyl (Chinlima-6.9 EW) at 85 g a.i. ha and weedy check. Plots treated with fenoxaprop-p-ethyl (Puma Super-75 EW) at 45 g a.i. ha produced relatively less weed biomass, more plant height, number of spike bearing tillers, number of grains per spike, 1000-grain weight and grain yield (4.20 t ha). Keywords─clodinafop, fenoxaprop-p-ethyl, weeds, wheat

Integrated Effect of Seed Rates and Weed Management Treatments in Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)
Abstract: Increased crop density and use of herbicides are two important components of integrated weed management program in wheat but no much information is available on combined effects of these two treatments. A field experiment was conducted to determine the interaction effect of increasing seed rates and weed management treatments on monocot and dicot weeds, grain and straw yield and uptak...

This study was conducted to evaluate the performance of different herbicides options for weed control in chickpea and their residual effect on bread wheat performance in crop rotation under rainfed conditions. The experimental design was randomized complete block with four replications conducted in Mahidasht Agricultural Research Center located in Kermanshah province, Iran during 2018-2019 and ...

Field experiments were carried out over three years (2004-05, to 2006-07) to study the efficacy of a post-emergence dual-purpose herbicide (mesosulfuron – methyl (3%) + iodosulfuron – methyl – sodium (0.6%) + mefenpyr – diethyl (9%) to control Lolium rigidum Gaud. and broad-leaved weeds in no-till wheat (Triticum aestivum L.). A ready herbicide mixture was used at three doses (6+1.2, 9+1.8 and ...
متن کاملPhytotoxicity effects of soil amended residues of wild barley (Hordeum spontaneum Koch) on growth and yield of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)
Wheat (Triticum aestivum) growth and yield are depressed by physical and chemical interference of weeds. Recently, wild barley (Hordeum spontaneum) population has increased in wheat fields of many provinces of Iran. Since, little is known about the allelopathic effects of wild barley residues in soil, greenhouse studies were conducted to examine the effects of soil amended residues of wild barl...
متن کاملUse of sorghum allelopathic properties to control weeds in irrigated wheat in a semi arid region of Punjab
Conventional methods of weed control are weather dependent, costly and labour intensive. Indiscriminate use of chemicals for controlling weeds may pose environmental problems. Sorghum allelopathy is a new technique, which has been tested for controlling weeds of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) as a substitute for chemical herbicides to reduce environmental pollution. Mature sorghum herbage contain...
